About the Book

Aufgrund ihres hervorragenden Eigenschaftsprofils sind Carbon Nanotubes und graphitische Strukturen als Füllstoff für die Herstellung von multifunktionellen Polymerkompositen in den letzten Jahren stark in den wissenschaftlichen Fokus gerückt. Deren Einarbeitung in ein nichtmischbares Polymerblendsystem über einen Schmelzemischprozess bietet große ökonomische Vorteile. Gleichzeitig birgt sie aber auch enorme Herausforderungen, die u.a. in materialspezifischen und prozesstechnischen Parametern begründet sind. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde der Einfluss der ingenieurtechnischen Parameter, wie Schmelzeviskosität und Drehzahl sowie Mischablauf und Mischzeit, auf die morphologischen und physikalischen Eigenschaften von selektiv gefüllten Polymerblends untersucht. Mittels komplementärer Charakterisierungsmethoden konnten die Zusammenhänge zwischen den Mischbedingungen, der Füllstoffdispersion und -lokalisierung sowie den daraus resultierenden elektrischen und rheologischen Eigenschaften der Polymerblendkomposite ausführlich dargestellt werden. Auf Basis dieser Erkenntnisse und der generierten rheologischen Messergebnisse wurde schließlich ein Modell weiterentwickelt, welches eine qualitative Unterscheidung der Füllstoffaspektverhältnisse in selektiv gefüllten Polymerblends ermöglicht.
