About the Book

Damien is barely holding it together. Struggling with the weight of his recent loss, he finds himself torn between his duty to Lariza und his responsibility as the leader of Lamia Vult. Just when he thinks things can't get worse, an angry mob forms at the gates, blaming the cult for mysterious dreams that drain not only the citizens of the city but also the members of Lamia Vult. And as if that weren't enough, Damien can't shake the feeling that Damnatio might be lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. With pressure from the police and his allies questioning his ability to lead, Damien must face his demons-literally-and hope that he can save himself before everything falls apart. Will he survive the nightmare, or will he lose himself in the chaos? In this gripping Dark Urban Fantasy Thriller, the fight isn't just for survival. Damien must confront the truth about who he really is and decide where his loyalties lie: standing with humanity or embracing the dark pull of his demonic inheritance. The choice will define not only his future, but the fate of everyone he holds dear.

Review :
I went into this expecting dark urban fantasy, but what I got was so much more. How to Slay a Demon Lord and Get Away with It isn't just about action and supernatural politics-it's about survival, trauma, and the messy, complicated ways we deal with our pasts. Damien absolutely shattered me. He's raw, stubborn, and self-destructive in a way that feels painfully real. And Ahsanda? A QUEEN. The way her story unfolds is powerful, and the way she owns her place in this world is something I won't forget. I can't say anything else without spoilers. The relationships, the tension, the moments that hit a little too close to home-it all made this book unforgettable. This isn't a light-hearted read all the way, but if you want something that hurts in the best way, with amazing queer rep and emotional depth, this is it. You ever read a book that makes you feel like you've been punched in the soul? That was How to Slay a Demon Lord and Get Away with It for me. Between the brilliant character work, the intricate supernatural world, and the gut-wrenching emotional moments, I was hooked. Damien is one of the most compelling protagonists I've read in a long time-he's messy, angry, and so real. The way the book tackles trauma, mental health, and identity hit me hard. And don't even get me started on the queer rep. It's not just there for the sake of it-it's deep, meaningful, and woven into every part of the story. If you love urban fantasy with heart, a little heartbreak, and characters who feel like they could walk off the page, READ THIS BOOK.
