About the Book

We are being overrun by the plastic words of industrial production. This newspeak both accompanies and highlights the increasing 'professionalisation' of care and social work. In reality, however, this amounts to the brutal objectification of human care under the guise of optimisation. This volume's contributors plead for a radical change of course and demand a deprofessionalisation of the social sector. Rather than understanding this as a concrete program, however, they encourage getting rid of the corset of efficiency and a renewed focus on the uncompromised skills of affection and generosity.

About the Author :

Review :
Gut so.« Wolfgang Berg, www.socialnet.de, 18.05.2017 Besprochen in: Pro Pflege, 18.05.2017, Werner Schell neue caritas, 11 (2017) http: //www.bvpraevention.de, 03.07.2017 BBE-Newsletter, 13.07.2017 www.pflege-shv.de, 8 (2017), Harald Spies demenz, 34 (2017) Suchtmagazin, 6 (2017)
