Kulturtheoretische Versuche, ein Zusammenleben in Frieden und Differenz programmatisch zu fassen, spielen im begonnenen 21. Jahrhundert eine entscheidende Rolle. Als aufschlussreich stellen sich hierbei die Konzepte der »Kreolisierung« und des »Tout-monde« des karibischen Romanciers Édouard Glissant oder die »Coolitude« des aus Mauritius stammenden Dichters Khal Torabully dar. Sie verweisen auf multiethnische Gesellschaften kolonialen Ursprungs und formulieren eine prominente - in Deutschland aber bislang kaum wahrgenommene - postkoloniale Kulturkritik der Globalisierung und Moderne. Die Beiträge in diesem Band, u.a. von Ottmar Ette, Françoise Vergès und Khal Torabully, prüfen die Anschlussfähigkeit von historischen und aktuellen Kreolisierungsprozessen für internationale und europäische Debatten.

About the Author :
Gesine Müller (Prof. Dr.) ist Professorin für Romanistik an der Universität zu Köln. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Karibikforschung, lateinamerikanische Gegenwartsliteraturen sowie Transferforschung. Natascha Ueckmann ist Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Bereich Romanistik/Kulturwissenschaft an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Sie war zunächst Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Universität Osnabrück (1998-2000), im Anschluss DAAD-Lektorin in Frankreich (2000-2002), danach Wissenschaftliche Assistentin (2002-2010) und später Akademische Rätin auf Zeit (2010-2017) an der Universität Bremen. Während des WS 2012/13 und des WS 2013/14 übernahm sie die Lehrstuhlvertretung für Romanische Literaturen und Kulturen (Schwerpunkt Iberoamerika) an der Universität Passau. 2000 Promotion an der Universität Osnabrück zum Thema Frauen und Orientalismus: Reisetexte französischsprachiger Autorinnen des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts (Stuttgart: Metzler 2001), die Studie erscheint 2018 in französischer Übersetzung: Genre et orientalisme. Récits de voyage au féminin en langue française: XIXe-XXe siècle. 2011 Habilitation zur karibischen Literatur: Ästhetik des Chaos in der Karibik. Créolisation und Neobarroco in franko- und hispanophonen Literaturen (2014), ausgezeichnet mit dem Elise Richter-Forschungspreis des Deutschen Romanistenverbandes. Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind: Karibik- und Diasporaforschung, Postkoloniale Literatur- und Kulturtheorien, Transkulturelles Theater im 21. Jahrhundert (Frankreich, Deutschland), Gedächtnisforschung und Transmedialität, Gender Studies, Autobiographik. Sie war von 2007 bis 2017 Geschäftsführerin und eine der Sprecherinnen des Instituts für postkoloniale und transkulturelle Studien (INPUTS). Seit 2015 ist sie Vorstandsmitglied für Internationales bei der Society for Caribbean Research (Socare).
