About the Book

Review :
»The essays in this volume offer thoughtful and nuanced reflections on African-European migration and make a compelling case why we must continue to explore literary and visual representations from Africa in/and Europe.« Cecile Sandten, Anglistik - International Journal of English Studies, 23/2 (2012) »Der Band zeigt anschaulich, dass und wie Kunst und politische Anliegen in einem Austauschverhältnis stehen.« Nanna Heidenreich, Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft, 5/2 (2011) »Der Sammelband dürfte [...] für den Migrations- und Integrationsdiskurs in Deutschland ein besonderes Gewicht erhalten und den interkulturellen Blick dezidiert auf die deutsch- und europäisch-afrikanischen Beziehungen lenken - nicht nur, um post-kolonialen Bemühungen in der sich immer interdependenter, entgrenzender entwickelnden Einen Welt eine neue Aufmerksamkeit zu geben, sondern auch, um die Möglichkeiten ästhetischen und künstlerischen Schaffens lokal, regional und global innovativ und transkulturell zu erproben. Jos Schnurer, www.socialnet.de, 25.07.2011 Besprochen in: www.via-bund.de, 5 (2011) www.lehrerbibliothek.de, 7 (2011), Oliver Neumann zitty, 26 (2011), Claudia Wahjudi terra cognita, 20 (2012)
