Gem der Systemischen Evolutionstheorie k nnen nur selbsterhaltende, selbstreproduktive Systeme eigendynamisch evolvieren. Daraus folgt aber, dass - anders als von Richard Dawkins vermutet - weder "egoistische" Gene noch Meme Gegenstand der Selektion sein k nnen. Auch widerspricht die Theorie wesentlichen Grundannahmen der Luhmannschen Systemtheorie.
