Geleitwort In der betriebswirtschaftlichen empirischen Innovationsforschung ist die ,,zusam­ menarbeit" als Erfolgsfaktor für innovative Vorhaben sehr gut belegt. Dabei werden in den Studien über einzelne Projekte allenfalls zwei Arten von Zusammenarbeits­ problemen analysiert: Zum einen Zusammenarbeit innerhalb einer überschaubaren Kleingruppe, die in der Regel "Team" genannt wird, zum anderen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Projekt und Umfeld. Im Allgemeinen wird jedoch nicht darauf eingegangen, dass in innovativen Vorhaben häufig eine große Zahl von Teams zusammenarbeitet, so dass es auch ganz erhebliche Probleme der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Teams in innovativen Großprojekten gibt. Obwohl gerade diese größeren Projekte für die Unternehmen einerseits besonders wichtig sind und andererseits besonders schwierig zu managen sind, gibt es nur ganz wenige empirische Untersuchungen über derartige "Multi-Team-Projekte". Genau diese theoretisch und empirisch vernachlässigten Multi-Team-Projekte stehen im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit von Frau Wurst. Im theoretischen Teil der Arbeit nimmt Frau Wurst eine hervorragende Bestands­ aufnahme der wissenschaftlichen Ansätze zur Zusammenarbeit zwischen Gruppen vor. Prägnant und informativ werden die Forschungszweige "Intergroup Relations", "Schnittstellen-Management" und "Boundary Spanning" zusammengefasst und im Hinblick auf ihre Implikationen für diese Arbeit gewürdigt. Aus diesen Ansätzen werden drei zentrale Konstrukte für die Studie abgeleitet: die aufgabenbezogene Inte­ gration des Workflows zwischen Teams, die politische Aufgabe der Regelung von Konflikten zwischen den einzelnen Teams und die Führungsaufgabe, eine gemeinsame Identifikation mit dem Gesamtprojekt herbeizuführen.
