Bis zu einem entscheidenden Zeitpunkt ahnt der Markgraf seines Bruders Vorhaben wie auch nicht der Hofstaat, dass der Thronfolger in Wirklichkeit weiblichen Geschlechts ist. --- Prinzessin Constanze (fast 19 J.), rechtliche Thronfolgerin, verliebt sich in den von ihrem Onkel und Baron Adalbert gedungenen, aber unbedeutenden Grafen Detzin (28 J.). Als sie von ihm schwanger wird, sucht er das Weite. Die nunmehr nach den Statuten befleckte Prinzessin verliert somit ihren Anspruch auf den Thron von Brandenburg. Baron Adalbert Plan scheint somit aufzugehen.gefahrvoller Situationen entsinnt sie sich ihrer inneren Stärke und setzt sie auch ein.
