About the Book

Experience management organizes the transfer of experiences using an explicit representation, which becomes an essential success factor for companies of any size - as recent studies show. Users expect that such experiences are up-to-date and have a reasonable quality. Thus, experience maintenance becomes essential. This dissertation provides models for a so-called experience feedback loop. These models specify processes, schema, and experience base operations for systematically involving users and other stakeholders in evaluation and maintenance. A tight integration into business processes ensures the practical applicability of the models. Loops for different experience types are linked with each other to automatically capture and use context information. For the systematic development of systems with experience feedback loops, this dissertation provides the comprehensive DILLEBIS approach. The models as well as the different methods and components of the approach have been iteratively developed and validated in case studies in 13 projects. The measured development efficiency improvements make the approach also applicable to small/medium-scale systems.
