Not und Leid, Ausgrenzung und Gewalt, Machtmissbrauch und Missachtung - Phänomene der Welt in der Jesus lebte und der heutigen Gesellschaft. Wer mit aufmerksamen Blick Menschen wahrnimmt, wird gerade in helfenden Berufen mit dieser Realität konfrontiert. So fragen sich die Jünger Jesu, aus welcher Vollmacht Jesus den Menschen begegnet. Jesus lehrt das Vater unser seinen Jüngern, weil es die Kraftquelle und innere Orientierung für ihn ist und für seine Nachfolger sein möge. Die Kraftquelle ist die vertraute und innige Liebesbeziehung, wie sie in dem Wort "Abba" zum Ausdruck kommt. In diese Liebesbeziehung lädt Jesus seine Jünger ein. Wenn wir heute das Vater unser beten, dann sind wir zuerst in diese Liebesbeziehung eingeladen. Gott liebt uns. Er bringt uns größte Wertschätzung entgegen. Deshalb: "Abba - Vater". Das eigene Vaterbild zu entgiften um diese Kraftquelle für sich zu erkennen und daraus zu leben zu können, ist eine manchmal schwierige Herausforderung. Wertschätzung ist die entscheidende Grundhaltung im Menschenbild Jesu: Der Mensch bedarf der Wertschätzung und ist gefordert sie zu stiften. Diese Wertschätzung eröffnet einen Raum, in dem Leben sich entfalten kann, in dem Mut gefasst wird, wieder anzufangen, sich wieder zu riskieren. Die ersten drei Gedanken des Vater unserbeschreiben die Verheißungen (Ressourcen) aus denen die Jünger leben können: "geheiligt, werde dein Name", "dein Reich komme" und "dein Wille geschehe." Das Menschenbild das hier aufleuchtet, weiß um die Notwendigkeit eines Sinnhorizontes (was ist mir heilig?); weiß um konkrete Umsetzungen (die Gotteskultur möge kommen) und entwickelt Selbstwirksamkeit, die Willenskraft die zur Tat führt (dein Wille und mein Wille verbünden sich). Das Menschenbild im Vater unser ist nicht weltfremd. Es sieht die offensichtliche Not: "unser tägliches Brot gib uns heute", die es zu lindern gilt.
