Band 2 der Katalogserie zur Sammlungsgeschichte prasentiert alle Kunstwerke in einem Werkverzeichnis mit 800 grossformatigen Farbabbildungen. Ausserdem geben Textbeitrage Einblicke in die Architektur, Literatur und Kunst, die dieses Jahrzehnt pragte: Von der Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismus und der literarischen Wiener Gruppe bis zum Wiener Aktionismus, der 1968 in der Aktion Kunst und Revolution gipfelt

About the Author :
Berthold Ecker, geboren 1961 in Linz, Studium der Kunstgeschichte und Volkerkunde an der Universitat Wien. Abschluss 1995 mit Dissertation uber den Wiener Maler Leopold Birstinger (1903 1983). Seit 1991 im Referat Bildende Kunst der Kulturabteilung der Stadt Wien, Betreuung und Neuorganisation der Sammlung moderner Kunst, die mit ihren 16.500 Objekten aller Kunstsparten eine der grossten ihrer Art in Osterreich ist. 1998 Grundung des Museums auf Abruf" in Wien. Seit 2003 Leiter des Referats Bildende Kunst der Kulturabteilung der Stadt Wien. Konzeption und Organisation von zahlreichen Ausstellungen im In- und Ausland. Textbeitrage zu Ausstellungskatalogen und wissenschaftlichen Publikationen. Seit Juni 2007 Leiter des MUSA Museum auf Abruf, der Ausstellungsflache fur die zeitgenossische Sammlung der Kulturabteilung der Stadt Wien. Wolfgang Hilger, geboren 1943 in Wien. 1962 1968 Studium von Geschichte, Kunstgeschichte und Germanistik an der Universitat Wien, 1965 1968 Ausbildungskurs am Institut fur Osterreichische Geschichtsforschung mit Staatsprufung, 1968/69 Beamter am Osterreichischen Staatsarchiv, 1969 1978 Assistent an der Historischen Kommission der Akademie der Wissenschaften, 1978 1985 Kunstreferent der Kulturabteilung der NO Landesregierung in Wien, 1985 2003 Kunstreferent der Kulturabteilung (MA 7) der Stadt Wien, beauftragt mit Kunstforderung, Kunstankaufen, Organisation von Kunstausstellungen; 1983 2003 Lehrauftrage zum Thema Dingliche und bildliche Geschichtsquellen an der Universitat Munchen; 1985 2005 auch an der Universitat Wien; 1991-2006 Lehrauftrag fur allgemeine Kunstgeschichte an der Akademie der bildenden Kunste in Wien; 2002 Honorarprofessor fur das Fach Osterreichische Geschichte an der Universitat Wien
