Die Relevanz der Emotionen für den Wandel bleibt unbestritten, da diese sich hemmend oder förderlich auf ein Change Projekt auswirken. Damit wird das Ziel verfolgt, ein Gespür für die Gefühlslage der Mitarbeiter zu entwickeln, je nach dem in welchem Stadium des Wandels sie sich gerade befinden. Um ein einheitliches Verständnis vom Change Management zu schaffen wird dieses zuerst definiert und anschließend Anlässe von Veränderungsprozessen benannt. Im dritten Kapitel werden die Arten von Emotionen vorgestellt und darüber hinaus die neurobiologischen Vorgänge bei der Entstehung von Gefühlen beschrieben. Darauf aufbauend werden die Gründe von Widerständen betrachtet und im zeitlichen Verlauf anhand einer Veränderungskurve untersucht. Im fünften Kapitel wird ein Konzept zum krisenfreien Kulturwandel vorgestellt. Die Studienarbeit wird mit einem Fazit abgeschlossen.
