Weltweite Marktver�nderungen, neue Produkte und Technologien, wachsender internationaler Wettbewerb, k�rzere Produktlebenszyklen und gesellschaftliche, �kologische oder politische Ver�nderungen fordern von Unternehmen sich flexibel und schnell anzupassen. Gelingt einem Unternehmen diese Anpassung nicht, kann es als Folge in eine Krisensituation geraten. Achtzig Prozent der Unternehmenskrisen sind aber auf interne Ursachen zur�ckzuf�hren, wobei F�hrungsm�ngel die Hauptursache darstellen. Die Praxis zeigt, dass einigen Krisenunternehmen "[...] das Abwenden einer krisenhaften Entwicklung", der sogenannte Turnaround, gelingt. Die teilweise in der Literatur vom Turnaround abgegrenzten Begriffe Sanierung, Restrukturierung und Reorganisation vom Turnaround werden in dieser Seminararbeit synonym verwendet. Der Turnaround eines Unternehmens vollzieht sich zeitlich in einem komplexen Prozess, der zur Reduktion der Komplexit�t in Phasen zur Bew�ltigung der Krise aufgeteilt wird. Die Entwicklung und Implementierung von Ma�nahmen, die die Balance zwischen dem Unternehmen und den Anforderungen der Umwelt nachhaltig wiederherstellen sollen, erfolgt durch das Turnaround-Management. Wie gelingt es einem Unternehmen ad�quate Ma�nahmen zum erfolgreichen Vollzug des Turnaround und damit zur Vermeidung der drohenden Insolvenz zu entwickeln? Zur Beantwortung dieser Frage werden im Rahmen dieser Seminararbeit einige Turnaround-Modelle vorgestellt, f�r ein Modell die Charakteristika der einzelnen Phasen beschrieben und daraus Anforderungen an zu entwickelnde Ma�nahmen abgeleitet.
