Diese Arbeit befasst sich auf den folgenden Seiten mit der Frage, inwiefern Employer Branding zur Sicherung des Fachkraftebedarfs von Unternehmen beitragen kann. Im 2. Kapitel werden der Begriff, die Ziele und die Instrumente erlautert sowie eine Einordnung in den Kontext einer integrierten Unternehmensstrategie vorgenommen. Nach dieser Themenbestimmung wird im 3.Kapitel die Relevanz des Employer Branding fur Untenehmen uberpruft. Das 4. Kapitel widmet sich der Beantwortung der Frage, ob Unternehmen, die einen Employer Brand aufgebaut haben, dadurch uber einen Wettbewerbsvorteil verfugen und fuhrt damit die zentrale These ein. Im weiteren werden die Bedurfnisse und Erwartungen der Bewerber im Kontext dargestellt, um dann die Auswirkungen des Employer Branding auf den Recruiting- und Retention- Prozess zu erarbeitet. In der Schlussbetrachtung werden die Ergebnisse zusammengefasst und bewertet.Die wissenschaftliche Literatur zum Thema Employer Branding ist sehr ubersichtlich und beschrankt sich auf wenige Autoren. Petkovic spricht in seinem Vorwort zur zweiten Auflage sogar davon, dass die Nachfrage der Unternehmen einer geringen Anzahl von qualifizierten Beitragen gegenubersteht (Petkovic, Mladen (2008), Vorwort des Verfassers zur zweiten Auflage). Im Gegensatz dazu ist die Auswahl an Pressemitteilungen, Artikeln und Beitragen in Zeitungen, Journalen und im Internet sehr gross. Die Schwierigkeit besteht in diesem Falle darin, die popularen Schriften von den seriosen oder wissenschaftlichen zu selektieren
