Die vorliegende Arbeit ist nicht als reine psychologische Abhandlung anzusehen. Sie vereinigt vielmehr drei verschiedene Sichtweisen des Themas: soziologische, padagogische und psychologische Aspekte.Die Examensarbeit entstand 2005 im Zuge des Lehramtstudiums fur Grund- Haupt- und Realschulen in Braunschweig. In dieser Zeit waren die Diskussionen uber Veranderungen der Rahmenrichtlinien sehr aktuell. Das Anliegen bestand darin, vermehrt Kompetenzen im Unterricht zu vermitteln. Damit wurde die Diskussion um bisherige Unterrichtsmethoden entflammt. Aus diesen Diskussionen stellten sich folgende Fragen fur die Arbeit: Warum ist der 'bisherige' oder 'normale' Unterricht nicht mehr zeitgemass? Haben sich die Berufswelt und damit die Forderungen der Unternehmen und Firmen an die Schuler so entscheidend verandert? Haben sich die Unterrichtsmethoden den Anforderungen nicht genugend angepasst? Ausgehend von diesen Fragestellungen stellt die Arbeit am Anfang die Veranderungen der Gesellschaft, der Wirtschafts- und Arbeitswelt und die daraus resultieren Forderungen und Anforderungen an die Bildung junger Menschen dar. Anschliessend wird der Unterricht unter Berucksichtigung der Forderungen der Wirtschaft nach sozialen Kompetenzen und verschiedenen Lerntheorien betrachtet. Resultierend aus diesen Ausfuhrungen und Betrachtungen wird anschliessend das kooperative Lernen als Alternative zu herkommlichem Unterricht und als mogliche Antwort auf die Forderungen dargestellt. Um die Moglichkeiten und die Wirkmechanismen des kooperativen Lernens weiter zu verdeutlichen, werden auch die kognitiven Prozesse, die durch Gruppenprozesse und Interaktionen beim gemeinsamen Arbeiten verstarkt werden, betrachtet. Abschluss der Arbeit bildet die Darstellung von praktischem kooperativem Unterricht. So soll aufgezeigt werden, dass diese Lernformen den Anforderungen und Forderungen der Gesellschaft und der Arbeitswelt gerecht werden konnen und so fur zeitgemassen Unterricht wichtig und sogar notwendig sind. &
