Este libro es producto del intercambio de ideas, perspectivas y resultados por parte de especialistas de diferentes universidades españolas y europeas en torno al estudio del español en los siglos XVIII y XIX, periodo acotado por el marbete español moderno. Recoge 21 trabajos que se hacen eco, de un modo u otro, y desde ópticas en ocasiones divergentes, de los presupuestos de la investigación en tradiciones idiomáticas y discursivas, nociones que hunden sus raíces en la lingüística de las variedades de filiación coseriana. Este conjunto de aportaciones de naturaleza historiográfica, sintáctica, discursiva y léxica ofrece un estado actualizado de los estudios sobre el español moderno, con una presencia destacada de la exploración de la gramaticalización y difusión de marcadores del discurso y de los corpus de lenguaje periodístico.

About the Author :
Araceli López Serena es catedrática de Lengua Española en la Universidad de Sevilla e investigadora principal de los proyectos "Tradiciones discursivas, Tradiciones idiomáticas y unidades de análisis del discurso en la historia del español moderno" (FFI2014-51826-P) [2015-2018] y "Tradicionalidad discursiva e idiomática, sintaxis del discurso, traducción y cambio lingüístico en la historia del español moderno: prosa (pre-)periodística/ensayística y literaria" (PGC2018-097823-B-I00) [2019-2021], a partir de cuyos presupuestos se gestó el presente volumen. Formada en las universidades de Sevilla y Múnich, ha sido profesora colaboradora o visitante en las universidades de Passau, Tübingen, Cáceres, NYU de Nueva York, Heidelberg y FU de Berlín. Santiago Del Rey Quesada es licenciado en Filología Hispánica y Filología Clásica por la Universidad de Sevilla, donde actualmente desempeña su carrera docente e investigadora como profesor titular. Sus principales líneas de investigación giran en torno a la elaboración lingüística de las lenguas romances desde la época medieval hasta la moderna, el análisis histórico del discurso, la lingüística de variedades, el contacto de lenguas y la teoría y la historia de la traducción. Elena Carmona Yanes es licenciada en Filología Hispánica y en Filología Francesa y Doctora en Lingüística de la enunciación por la Universidad de Sevilla, de la que es profesora desde 2009. Su labor investigadora se centra en las líneas del análisis histórico del discurso periodístico, la oralidad en la escritura y los problemas relacionados con la traducción de la variación lingüística.
