Der Autor: Markus H. Ostrop hat nach seinem Zweiten Juristischen Staatsexamen den Ausbildungsgang für den akademischen Nachwuchs in den Geschäftsführungen der Arbeitgeberverbände bei der Arbeitgeber-Bundesvereinigung (BDA) durchlaufen und dabei Verbände verschiedener Industriebranchen kennengelernt. Seit 1993 arbeitet er als Syndikus für die Verbände der Ernährungsindustrie Baden-Württemberg. Zugleich praktiziert er als Rechtsanwalt.
