About the Book

This practical, methodic approach to optimizing the chemical driving force of a process develops the characteristic equations, while presenting the design of each operating unit for the common kinetics. This modern technique focuses on problem-solving by way of reasoning rather than memorizing specific cases for which specific formulas apply, and a number of solved examples for each reactor type presented are included at the end of every chapter.
