About the Author :
Born 1954 Professor Börner finished his thesis in 1984. After several years of postdoctoral studies and industrial experience he moved to Rostock. Now, Professor Börner is head of department for asymmetric catalysis in Rostock and published over 140 scientific papers, reviews, book chapters and patents. He was awarded the departmental price for organic chemistry of the AdW, The Otto-Röhm price and the Descartes price of the European Union.
