Fur mich war aber auch die Tatsache interessant, dass sie die Deutschen nicht hasst. Sie mochte nur, dass die Menschheit von dieser schrecklichen Zeit erfahrt, damit so etwas nie wieder passiert."Sobald man die ersten Zeilen des Kapitels "Ich war ein furchtbar ungezogenes Kind" liest, wird man von der Entwicklung des kleinen Madchens gefesselt und mochte von da an wissen, wie das Leben der "noch" kleinen Kitty weitergeht. Von der Minute an las ich das Buch mit einem Interesse, wie ich es zuvor noch keinem Buch gewidmet habe."Fur mich ist es unvorstellbar, wie diese Menschen trotz der Lebensumstande am Leben bleiben und diese ganzen Qualen und Demutigungen ertragen konnten. Das bringt mich zum Nachdenken, uber was fur belanglose Dinge wir uns aufregen."
