About the Book

About the Author :
Dr. Pethuru Raj is working as a chief architect at Reliance Jio Platforms Ltd. (JPL) Bangalore. Earlier, he worked with IBM Global Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), Wipro Consulting Services (WCS), and Robert Bosch Corporate Research (CR). He has more than 22 years of IT industry experience and 8 years of research experience. He completed the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)- sponsored Ph.D. at Anna University, Chennai, and continued with the University Grants Commission (UGC)-sponsored postdoctoral research in the Department of Computer Science and Automation, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He has received a number of international research fellowships (JSPS and JST) to work as a research scientist for 3.5 years in two leading Japanese universities. He received both BE and M.Tech. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He is also a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM. He has more than 14 years of teaching experience. He has authored/edited 10 books and published over 50 articles in the peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. He serves as editor/ editorial board member/reviewer of many peer-reviewed journals. His research areas are Machine Learning, Renewable Energy, Health Informatics, Nature Inspired Algorithms, Cloud Computing, and Big Data. He obtained his Ph.D. in the field of Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University in Chennai. The title of his thesis is “Analysis and Prediction of Rainfall in Agriculture based on Deep Learning Framework.” He has 13 years of experience in teaching, research, mentoring, and administration. His research focuses on Data Mining, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Cloud computing. He has his publications in 24 international journals, 19 international conferences, and 21 national conferences. He is also a reviewer and editorial board member for several journals and professional associations. He has more than four patents published and one Indian patent grant. He has published two books and eight book chapters. More than six book chapters are under review. He is a member of more than 14 professional bodies. He is a Publons-certified reviewer.
