About the Book

This volume of proceedings includes the selected papers presented at the 7th International Conference Innovative Technologies for Joining Advanced Materials (TIMA14), held in Timisoara, Romania, during June 19-20, 2014. The aim of the conference was to bring together researchers from institutes and universities from different countries in order to discus actual topics in the field of joining and testing procedures of advanced materials. A particular attention was concentrated on practical problems coming from the industry. The main topics covered are: New joining technologies; Modeling and simulation of welding processes; Specific problems in advanced material joining; and, Quality of welded joints and welded structures.
