About the Book

In Krisenzeiten: Quo vadis, Architektur?

About the Author :
Susanne Stacher is an architect and architecture critic. After starting her career as an architect in the offices of Renzo Piano, Dominique Perrault, Morger & Degelo, Ibos & Vitart, and Shigeru Ban, she shifted her focus to research and teaching. As a professor, she teaches architectural theory and practice at the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Versailles. Her field of research lies at the intersection of architecture and urbanism, theory, history, and philosophy. She is the author of the book Sublime Visions. Architecture in the Alps (Birkhäuser 2018). Her current research focuses on crises and possible narratives for the design of projects that outline a different relationship to the world - a theme she also pursues in pedagogy.
