About the Book

This book covers important areas of nonlinear dynamics, relating to both theoretical and applied problems. Much attention is paid to the dynamics of thin-walled distributed systems, including structures manufactured from composite materials. Theoretical aspects of the nonlinear dynamics of beams are also touched upon. The book examines issues of effective vibration damping using various types of electromagnetic and mechanical nonlinear devices. Modern analytical and numerical methods make it possible to describe the complex dynamic behavior of the considered nonlinear physical systems of various natures.

We expect that this book will be of significant interest to students, researchers, and engineers. This book can stimulate an active exchange of ideas between researchers working in various fields of nonlinear dynamics. We believe it can contribute to the effective solution of various problems relevant to both nonlinear theory and engineering applications.

Table of Contents:

Nonlinear Vibrations of Multistable Shells.- Experimental and numerical analysis of mechanical characteristics and nonlinear dynamics of sandwich composite thin walled structures manufactured by additive technology.- Impact deformation and fracture of sandwich metamaterial plates.- Debonding Resistance Evaluation in Virtual Testing of Sandwich Specimens.- Generalization of Volmir’s Solution to the Nonlinear Vibration of a Beam to Include an Attached Resonator.- Beam Model of MEMS/NEMS Accounting for Axial Inertia and Nonlinear Curvature.- Magnetic and electromagnetic vibration absorbers.- Hysteretic Tuned Mass Dampers: Robust Optimization under Stationary and Nonstationary Excitations.- Forced Vibrations of the Vehicle with Two Level Suspension.- Nonlinear dynamics of a periodic meta chain.- Numerical Investigation of Snap Through Dynamics in a Bistable Discrete Structure with Lumped Masses.- Beat synchronization in bistable model of coupled parametric oscillators.- Overview and Optimal Option Selection of Passive Permanent Magnetic Bearings for a Medium Sized Expander Compressor Unit Based on Their Nonlinear Characteristics and Dynamic Analysis.- Exploiting Dynamics of ECG Signal Disturbances in the Frequency Domain Using High Resolution.
