This book covers important areas of nonlinear dynamics, relating to both theoretical and applied problems. Much attention is paid to the dynamics of thin-walled distributed systems, including structures manufactured from composite materials. Theoretical aspects of the nonlinear dynamics of beams are also touched upon. The book examines issues of effective vibration damping using various types of electromagnetic and mechanical nonlinear devices. Modern analytical and numerical methods make it possible to describe the complex dynamic behavior of the considered nonlinear physical systems of various natures.
We expect that this book will be of significant interest to students, researchers, and engineers. This book can stimulate an active exchange of ideas between researchers working in various fields of nonlinear dynamics. We believe it can contribute to the effective solution of various problems relevant to both nonlinear theory and engineering applications.
