About the Book

This proceedings volume is the 37th issue of the Springer's series Eurasian Studies in Business and Economics, which is the official book series of the Eurasia Business and Economics Society (EBES, www.ebesweb.org). This volume includes selected papers presented at the 50th EBES Conference - Lisbon on January 8-10, 2025, hosted by ISCTE-IUL, Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal. In the conference, 140 papers by 275 colleagues from 44 countries were presented. The conference was held in a hybrid format with both in-person and online paper presentation formats.

About the Author :
Mehmet Huseyin was a Full Professor at the Department of International Economic Integration at Istanbul Medeniyet University (Türkiye). Professor Bilgin has published many studies in reputable international journals indexed in leading scientific databases, presented his research at numerous international conferences, and authored several academic books. He has also contributed a significant number of articles to national journals and conferences. He is the founder of the Istanbul Economic Research Association and currently serves as the Chairman. He is also the founder of an international scholarly association called EBES (Eurasia Business and Economics Society) and currently serves as the Vice President. He has also been active as a consultant in several institutions, a newspaper columnist, and featured in several television programs. Hakan Danis is the Head of Macro Scenario Design at Citi, USA. Dr. Danış worked as the Director in Economic Scenarios and OpRisk Modeling at MUFG (USA) and at the Spanish multinational global bank Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) in the USA as Senior Economist. He is one of the founders and the first President of EBES. He also worked at Kadir Has University (Turkey) as a research assistant. His current research and teaching interests include monetary policy, nonlinear applied time series, risk management in financial institutions and macroeconomics. Ender Demir is a Professor of Finance at the Department of Business and Economics, School of Social Sciences in Reykjavik University (Iceland). Dr. Demir is the conference coordinator of Eurasia Business and Economic Society (EBES). He serves as the associate editor at Eurasian Business Review (SSCI) and as a subject editor at Journal of Multinational Financial Management (SSCI). He has published his research in peer-reviewed international journals, including Journal of Financial Stability, Emerging Markets Review, Finance Research Letters, and Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, and Tourism Management. His research interest are corporate finance, Cryptocurrencies, financial economics, and tourism economics. Sofia Vale is Professor of Economics and Vice-Rector for Financial Management at Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Portugal). She has a Ph.D. in Economics from the Iscte-IUL and a M.A. in International Economics from the School of Economics and Business of the University of Lisbon. She is Associate Editor of Eurasian Economic Review and a member of the International Editorial Board of Panoeconomicus.
