About the Author :

Dr. Shama Prasada Kabekkodu is a Professor and Head in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at the Manipal School of Life Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), India. He obtained his Ph.D. from MAHE in 2011 and has over 14 years of teaching and research experience. His research focuses on functional epigenetics, cancer biology, and cellular signaling. With a prolific academic record, he has published 150+ research articles, 20 book chapters, and 7 conference proceedings, along with editing 2 book and holding 3 patents. His contributions have earned him prestigious grants, including the Wellcome Trust India Alliance Intermediate Fellowship (2023). He is a life member of the Society of Biological Chemists (India) and the Society for Mitochondrial Research and Medicine (India).


Dr. Rajib Biswas serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Tezpur University, India. He completed his Ph.D. at CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology and brings 13 years of teaching and 15 years of research experience. His expertise lies in applied photonics, quantum dots, nanomaterials, and material photonics. He has an extensive publication record, including 144 research articles, 23 book chapters, 2 edited books, and 3 patents. His research is supported by funding agencies such as the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and the Indian Ministry of Earth Sciences. A distinguished academic, he is an Emeritus Member of the Optical Society of America (OSA) and a life member of the Earthquake Society of India. He also holds editorial roles, including Associate Editor for Frontiers in Physics (Optics and Photonics section).


Dr. Nirmal Mazumder is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biophysics at Manipal School of Life Sciences, MAHE, India. He earned his Ph.D. from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (Taiwan, 2013) and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Virginia (USA) and the Italian Institute of Technology (Italy). His work involves developing nonlinear optical microscopes, including two-photon fluorescence, second harmonic generation (SHG), and coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS), for biomedical applications. His research interests span biophotonics, smart materials, microfluidics, and biomedical device development. With 75+ research articles, 25 book chapters, and 7 edited books, he actively contributes to scientific literature. He leads multiple national and bilateral research projects funded by the Government of India and serves as reviewer, guest editor, and associate editor for several high-impact journals. He holds senior memberships in OPTICA (Optical Society) and SPIE (International Society for Optical Engineering), along with life memberships in Indian Laser Association (ILA), Society of Biological Chemists (India), and others.


Dr. Aniruddha Chatterjee is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology, Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago, New Zealand. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Otago (2013) and specializes in epigenetics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, particularly in analyzing next-generation sequencing data. A recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the Roche Translational Cancer Research Fellowship (NZ Society of Oncology) and the Wellcome Trust Genomics Scholarship (UK), he has published 89 research articles, 10 conference proceedings, and 1 book. He has delivered 53 invited talks globally and has been recognized with fellowships such as the JSPS & Royal Society of New Zealand Visiting Fellowship (Japan).
