About the Book

This book provides a comprehensive overview of cutting-edge research and innovations in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), offering new insights into both theoretical foundations and practical applications. The book contains two keynote abstracts and 115 best peer-reviewed papers selected from the 211 submissions at the 3rd International Conference on Advances in ICT (ICTA 2024), which share research results and practical applications in ICT research and education. About the Author :

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia received his Engineer degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2002. He completed his Master of Science in Telecommunications from Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNUH) in 2007 and his Ph.D. degree in Information Science from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in 2013. He was Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications and Head of Academic Affairs. He has been ICTU's Rector. He has been Vice President of Vietnam Club of Faculties-Institutes-Schools-Universities of ICT (FISU) and President of the FISU Branch in the Northern Midlands, Mountains and Coastal Region of Vietnam. He received the Award for Excellent Young Researcher (Golden Globe Award) from Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in 2008.

Dr. Vu Duc Thai got a Master of Science in Computer Science from Thai Nguyen University and a Ph.D. degree in Mathematical Foundations for Computers and Computing Systems from the Institute of Information Technology--Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in 2012. He has been ICTU's Vice Rector. His research relates to databases, information systems and embedded systems (Cellular Neural Networks, FPGA). He has published more than 40 articles, books and book chapters. He works as Editor and Reviewer for some international journals.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy received the Engineer degree in Computing in 1982 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from HUST in 1987. He was Professor of computer science at HUST until 2011 and then up to now, at the VNU University of Engineering and Technology. He is now Head of the key laboratory for AI (Faculty of Information Technology, VNU University of Engineering and Technology). He is now the President of the National Committee for Professorships of Vietnam in Computer Science (upon Ministry of Education and Training), period 2024-2029; the President of the Vietnam Association for Information Processing, period 2023-2028. He is also Vice Director General of the National R&D Program KC-4.0/2019-2030. He serves as Deputy Chief of the National Council for the Vietnam AI Strategy in the period 2020-2030.

Prof. Dr. Van-Nam Huynh received a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in 1999. He is Professor at the School of Knowledge Science, JAIST. Also, he serves as Research Fellow at The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He was Visiting Professor at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Thailand, in 2019, Adjunct Professor at Chiang Mai University, Thailand, from 2015 to 2017 and Part-time Lecturer at Tsukuba University, Japan, from 2011 to 2015. He serves as Area Editor of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, Editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Knowledge and Systems Science and Area Editor of the journal Array.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Huan earned his Ph.D. in Mathematical foundation for Computers and Computing systems from the Institute of Information Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He was recognized as Associate Professor in the field of Management Information Systems in 2017. He is currently Head of the Department of Science Technology and International Collaboration, ICTU. His research focuses on data analysis and processing, socio-economic information, e-commerce, digital marketing, VR and AR technologies application in history and culture, as well as smart tourism. His research also involves developing smart education models. His notable application results include the use of VR, AR and VR-3600 technologies in simulating and recreating historical and cultural scenes such as the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, Son La Prison and the national historic monument 915 in Thai Nguyen.
