Il est l'auteur d'une vingtaine de livres, dont Toujours plus (1982), Le Compte a rebours (1998), Ne dites pas a Dieu ce qu'il doit faire (2004), Plus encore ! (2006) et Le Divorce francais (2008).

About the Author :
Francois de Closets mene, depuis une trentaine d'annees, une double carriere de journaliste et d'ecrivain. En 1965, il rejoint le Journal televise et devient le specialiste des questions spatiales et scientifique. En 1978, il cree sur TF1 le magazine economique L'Enjeu, avec Emmanuel de la Taille et Alain Weiller; en 1987, il lance, avec Richard Michel et Jean-Marie Perthuis, Mediations, un magazine de societe. En 1992, il rejoint le service public pour concevoir des emissions consacrees a la science et a la sante. Ce sont notamment Savoir Plus Sante, avec Martine Allain-Regnault et Les grandes enigmes de la science, avec Roland Portiche, emission dont il a ete pendant quinze ans le producteur et le presentateur. Depuis 2006, il est chroniqueur a La Chaine parlementaire et a repris ses activites d'editorialiste. C'est en 1968, apres avoir ete exclu de l'ORTF, que Francois de Closets commence sa carriere d'ecrivain. Il connait son premier succes avec Le Bonheur en plus (1974). Apres le succes memorable de Toujours Plus ! (1982), Francois de Closets s'attaque aux sujets les plus divers, et ses essais, toujours derangeants, recueillent de grands succes aupres du public. Tous ensemble (1985) met en cause le monde syndical. La Grande Manip (1990) fustige l'hypocrisie du discours politique. Tant et plus ( 1992) denonce le gaspillage de l'argent public. Le Bonheur d'apprendre (1996) plaide pour un renouveau pedagogique. Le Compte a rebours (1998) annonce les crises a venir de la France. L'Imposture informatique (2000), en collaboration avec Bruno Lussato, s'attaque aux derives de la micro-informatique. La Derniere Liberte (2001) demande que soit reconnu a chacun le droit de choisir sa fin de vie. Ne dites pas a Dieu ce qu'il doit faire (2004) revisite la biographie d'Albert Einstein. Plus encore ! (Fayard/Plon) confronte la grille de lecture de Toujours plus ! a la France des annees 2000.
