De cette lecture réfléchie de son oeuvre que pouvons-nous tirer ? D abord, un scepticisme salutaire concernant l usage des mathématiques et des statistiques en économie. Ensuite, Keynes dénonça très tôt les méfaits du capitalisme et d une fausse rationalité, destructrice de l ordre social. Rebâtir avec lui, c est admettre qu il n y a pas de solution purement économique aux problèmes de société et que la science économique n aurait jamais dû cesser d être, dès la fin du XIXe siècle, une économie politique. Pointant les aspects révolutionnaires mais aussi les zones d ombre d une oeuvre foisonnante, Paul Jor ion restitue ce qui nous la rend tellement stimulante pour penser notre époque.
