Incredule, hebetee, elle est fauchee par un autobus et emmenee d'urgence a l'hopital de la Salpetriere ou elle tombe dans le coma. Matthieu Pons et son beau-pere et amant, Paul Rozen, empruntent deux chemins differents pour se venger de ces detritus de la societe mediatique accroches a la coque de leur petit bateau de famille Avec l'aide de la merveilleuse Marie, son amie-amour-soeur-confidente, Matthieu enleve et sequestre le redacteur en chef de Primo, Antoine Merel, pour obtenir de lui une confession ecrite sur les methodes illegales de la presse de caniveau et ses propres turpitudes privees. Paul, lui, veut frapper a la tete: Alex Gronholm, patron de la filiale francaise du groupe suedois Hanson, auquel appartient Primo. Mais tout va deraper, et la vengeance d'enfant gate tourne a la tragedie. C'est qu'il ne suffit pas de hair les vampires du declencheur stipendies par les sanisettes hebdomadaires: encore faut-il ne pas ressembler a ce que l'on traque ! Le deferlement agressif de Matthieu ne suffira pas a lui permettre d'aveugler le mepris qu'il s'inspire: a force de marcher sur un fil tendu au-dessus d'un gouffre ouvert par son egoisme et son cynisme imbecile de fils de star a qui tout reussit, Matthieu va vraiment tomber... Seul l'art permettra peut-etre, avec le temps, de ressouder une famille depecee par la faillite morale..."

Xavier Couture est ne en 1951 dans l Isere. Journaliste, il est directeur des Sports sur TF1 avant d en devenir le Directeur de l antenne. Il succede ensuite a Pierre Lescure a la direction de Canal+. Il est aujourd hui Directeur des contenus d Orange. Il a publie un premier roman, "Coma", aux Editions Grasset en 2002 et un essai critique sur la television, "La dictature de l emotion", aux Editions Audibert en 2005. "Et pourtant j etais mort" est son premier roman policier.
