Philosophe, Jean-Francois Colosimo, qui enseigne a l'Institut de theologie orthodoxe Saint- Serge, a passe sa jeunesse parmi les chretiens d'Orient auxquels il a consacre, entre autres, un film Le Silence des Anges (Artline-Arte, 1998). Il est l'auteur d'une serie en plusieurs tomes investiguant les relations contemporaines entre la religion et la politique ou figurent deja Dieu est Americain, L'Apocalypse russe, Le Paradoxe persan, tous publies chez Fayard.
