A General TV, celebre chaine de television, des techniciens meurent dans d'etranges circonstances. Chacun semble s'etre etouffe de ses propres mains, les traits crispes, le visage cyanose. La police ne trouve ni armes ni produits toxiques, le systeme de ventilation lui-meme est mis hors de cause. Au meme moment, en plein Festival du Cinema a Cannes, un homme est assassine. L'arme est un coupe-papier plante d'une main experte dans le coeur. Pour elucider ces mysteres, le lecteur va penetrer dans les coulisses du festival, passer derriere les decors, dejouer les mises en scene... Solnia, jeune commissaire decontracte et brillant, enquete a la television. Son investigation revele la febrilite des studios ou cette " grande famille " trahit ses ambitions de pouvoir, prete a tout pour eliminer ses concurrents. Un psychiatre celebre tire profit des nevroses de ce monde des medias. Est-il un therapeute confident ou le grand manipulateur ? A Cannes, Ventura, policier provincial modele, evolue dans le milieu des stars, temoin de soirees aussi mondaines que dejantees. Quels liens entre ces morts et les enquetes des differentes polices ? Vespa, le celebre journaliste, collabore depuis Cannes avec General TV. Il entretient une vieille complicite professionnelle avec Babette Loup, responsable de son car de montage, personnage illuminee par une mission de justice universelle. Le psychiatre lui-meme ne tient-il pas seminaire dans le cadre du Festival sur le theme de l'emprise dangereuse du cinema sur les individus ? Les coupables ne manqueraient pas, susceptibles de profiter de cette concentration mediatique pour eliminer rivaux ou trafiquants, ou se faire justice, pour des raisons financieres ou sentimentales. Or c'est une logique mentale qui finira par crever... l'ecran Grace a son experience de journaliste, l'auteur decrit de facon parfaitement documentee l'univers des medias. Un humour enleve agremente des situations pleines de suspense. Longtemps journaliste de television, reporter habitue des festivals de cinema, Andre Klopmann a publie une douzaine d'ouvrages et a recu en 2001 le prix suisse Francois-Courvoisier.
