Review :
[Vigee Le Brun] excelled in more intimate formats, the three-quarter and especially bust-length portraits, where her renderings of expression, lightly powdered ringlets and fabric are beyond reproach. -- Roberta Smith The New York Times, February 11, 2016 There is also a long tradition of great artists... Vigee Le Brun was an artist at that lofty level, at a moment women weren't supposed to be artists at all. -- Jason Farago The Guardian, February 12, 2016
