About the Book

Flindas, Tris and Leana, carrying their fragment of the Seacrest are trapped behind enemy lines in inhospitable terrain. Maradass sends armies of horsemen, savage dogs and stone-men against the Regions. Meanwhile the green-and-brown clad Elbrand armies of the Iles of Zeta prepare to sail to their defence. Yet in the gathering epic clash, it is perhaps the secrets of the deep past, and the visions seen by Kerran, the young hero, on which the fate of the lands may lie. "They are all around you," said the Wizard mysteriously, raising his hands and waving them towards the room. "They arrived here at a different time and so they remain locked into that time. The tower seems but an empty vessel to the ones who have not looked deeply into the shadows."

About the Author :
Bruce Chatfield is an author, builder, painter, musician, world traveller, and follower of the teachings of the Buddha. Born on the shores of the Whangaroa Harbour in the far north of New Zealand, he was the quiet one, forever drawing, creating games, and going on mysterious travels in the bush across the road. In his, thirties after great personal tragedy, Bruce chose a life on the road and a path of meditation. Supported by his skills as a mural artist, sign writer, singer, and builder, he travelled widely across Australia, North and Central America, Europe, Southeast Asia and India, spending years in monasteries and other sanctuaries. Bruce hand wrote his novels in battered journals while on the road. Once memorably writing 14,000 words a day, ensconced at his table at the Garden Restaurant in the town of Puri, Orissa, India. He eventually settled after returning to New Zealand, finding peace and rest at Bodhinyanarama Buddhist Monastery in Stokes valley near Wellington. Bruce passed away shortly before this book went to print.
