About the Book

Table for Two is a comedic play that explores the challenges women over a certain age face when trying to find a romantic partner. We follow Abena Ohemaa Frimpong (Abby) as she navigates her complicated and sometime contentious relationship with her very traditional Ghanaian mother, who is on the search for "legitimate" grandchildren. With razor-sharp wit and unflinching honesty, the play invites audiences to join Abby on her journey as she confronts the complexities of romance, identity, and what it means to have a "good life."
