About the Book

Greater Than Goals. More Powerful Than Habits. Discover Your Streaks!
Most of us have a vision for ourselves and who we want to be: a top-notch professional in our field; a fantastic parent and friend; a physically fit, healthy person; someone who sets and achieves goals in multiple areas of life. But, amid the busy-ness of our days and all the competing demands, we often fall short of our hopes for ourselves. How could we possibly fit in another activity to become the person we've always dreamed we could be?
In this practical, step-by-step guide, authors Jeffery Downs and Jami Downs show you how, by introducing the art of streaking (not that kind!) to gain mastery in whatever area you choose to improve. To streak is to deliberately select a laughably simple activity—such as writing one sentence a day, doing seven push-ups a week, making one cold call a month—to repeat and record it over time, and to build a community around it as you do. As you create this structure for consistent wins, your actions align with your vision for yourself, and your confidence grows.

Review :
“While the world chases the instant fix, Streaking unlocks a vision of how simple, deliberate actions sustained over time enable you to become intentional rather than accidental in your pursuit of being who you want to be. Jeff and Jami Downs have described the common sense of personal change in a way that will definitely inspire you to reach for the better you.”
Frederick H. Earnest, president and CEO of Vista Gold Corp

“It can be easy to lose ourselves in day-to-day busyness or in times of crisis. The principles taught in Streaking: The Simple Practice of Conscious, Consistent Actions That Create Life-Changing Results are the answer to steadily becoming the person you want to become. I can say with certainty, as a person who has put these ideas to the test, that streaking is the way to take control of your life in every situation.”
Lauryl Jensen, MA History, teacher, and mother of four

“I’ve read hundreds of self-improvement books and many promised me outstanding results if I worked harder or thought differently or dreamed bigger. Although I’ve grown using those methods, the most meaningful changes I have seen in my life have been a result of using Jeff and Jami Downs’s approach of being consistent in seemingly small actions. Over a period of time I have been able to come closer and closer to the person I want to become. Streaking has never been so rewarding. Thanks, Jeff and Jami!”
Dave Fowler, senior director at Leprino Foods Company

“Jeff and Jami Downs have taken some of the concepts Jeff has so brilliantly embedded in our company over the past several years and distilled them into a life-changing process that’s ‘laughably simple,’ accessible, and doable. I’ve seen Jeff work with employees on the front line and in the C-suite, and in all cases the goal is the same: to help us get better at what we do. He and Jami now bring that passion to help others to everyone. Read this book and start your streak. My wife and I started ours before I was done reading!”
Gary Harris, senior trainer at Wegmans Food Markets

“I truly enjoyed reading Streaking. Jeff and Jami Downs have beautifully laid out an easy-to-follow, practical, and insightful framework for sustaining success in your personal and professional life by being intentional and consistent. I love the simplicity of consistently doing a laughably simple daily activity and tracking it over time; it can improve your life. The methodology is simple and easy to adapt to your day-to-day whirlwind. Highly recommended!”
Yolanda Benitez, director of priority projects and workforce initiatives at Wegmans Food Markets

Streaking is the missing puzzle piece between goals and habits. I can see myself ‘standing on a streak to reach for a goal’ or ‘hanging a habit from the ceiling of a streak.’ Jeff and Jami Downs have discovered the secret to real, lasting personal and professional improvement.”
Jeff Bankowski, partner at Guidehouse and former chief performance officer for the State of Michigan

“I have been setting ‘laughably simple’ streaks for myself and sharing the technique with my coaching clients—and seeing some seriously complex results! When dreaming big, the only way to get started is simply. So when setting those small first streaks I say, ‘if it doesn’t make you laugh, it’s not simple enough.’”
Stacy Olsen, owner of ludivine life

“Finally! Streaking is the be-all and end-all answer to the age-old question, ‘How do I bridge the gap between who I am now and who I want to become?’ Simple, real, and profound.”
Talan David, social media manager at Vivial

“I’m a massive fan of living intentionally! Jami and Jeff Downs give us a beautifully simple idea in Streaking. What a profound way to build our confidence through our daily choices. It’s so powerfully simple we sometimes forget that our daily choices determine our lives. I can’t wait to start a streak and add up my wins!”
Rebecca Fleetwood Hession, CEO of WEthrive.live and host of The Badass Womens Council podcast

Streaking, simply put, enables you to bridge the gap from who you are now, to who you want to be. Jeff and Jami Downs have proven that it works in their own lives and show us how to effectively change in very practical (laughably simple) and inspiring steps.”
Andrea Fowler, owner/broker at ACN Telecom & Energy
