About the Book

Carver Discovers a Code of the Cosmos: He Built a Way to Listen to the Universe is a beautifully crafted children's story that blends imagination with foundational science concepts. When Carver encounters a mysterious glowing space rock, his curiosity leads him to build a simple laser-based tool to study it. What begins as an experiment quickly becomes a journey into patterns of light, energy, and communication from beyond Earth.

With the help of his robot companion, Carver learns how light can carry information, how materials interact with energy, and how careful observation can reveal hidden meaning. As the glowing rock responds, Carver realizes he is not just studying the universe, he is beginning to understand it.

This story introduces young readers to early STEM thinking through engaging storytelling, showing how curiosity, creativity, and persistence can lead to discovery. Perfect for classrooms, homeschooling, and bedtime reading, this book encourages children to ask questions, explore ideas, and imagine themselves as scientists and explorers.

Carver's journey reminds us that sometimes the universe is always speaking, we just need to learn how to listen.

Nana Traci is a scientist turned storyteller who believes curiosity is one of the greatest gifts we can give a child. Nana Traci writes to spark questions, inspire empathy, and help children see the beauty in learning and in one another. Her stories weave STEM concepts into cozy adventures, giving young readers both knowledge and emotional safety. As a mother and nana of five, she pours her whole heart into each page. She hopes her books become keepsakes that her grandchildren will one day share with their own children. Through Keepsake Verse Studio, Nana Traci creates stories that honor curiosity, celebrate differences, and remind readers of all ages that love and learning belong together. Carver Marin is a young children's author, bold thinker, and big dreamer behind many of the investing, science, and problem-solving adventures at Keepsake Verse Studio.
