About the Book

Azawani the Hood of a Mentor is a mentorship book that injects hope to the hopeless and faith unto the down trodden and the stigmatized of society. Elizabeth was born to by a poor, slave and stigmatized couple-- Ibe and Ulo. They had prayed to God to give them a child, as they had become objects of mockery and ridicule, being that they were termed barren and forsaken. At an old age, they had Elizabeth. Azawani was a rich woman who was highly revered and respected by the people;, moreover, she had royal blood in her. She had no child of her own. She was a close friend and ally to the poor couple, and that did not go down well with her family and the entire community because slaves are not free to mingle with the freeborn. Azawani never cared what people did saidy about them. She kept encouraging the couple. When Elizabeth was born, the couple asked Azawani to adopt her. She named her Elizabeth, after the Queen of England, peeping into a future of possibilities and excellence concerning the new born baby. Azawani tutored the poor girl on wealth- creation strategy, discipline, multiple streams of income, and positive self-esteem. The society was never kind at all to the couple and their innocent child, Elizabeth. Their stigmatization continued until the poor couple and Azawani passed on, leaving the poor girl all alone in this wicked world. It was so devastating to her, but she kept reminding herself of all t what she learned under Azawani's tutelage-s. She had taught her the act of resilience, courage, and not waiting until life stops hurting before choosing to be happy. Though it was tough for her, but she kept faith. Before Azawani passed on, she willed all her wealth and treasure to her goddaughter, Elizabeth, secretly through one of her strange and secret friends who lived in a faraway village. With specific instructions from Azawani, The wealth was mysteriously and codedly handed over to Elizabeth-t. Thus Elizabeth became very rich and powerful, so that foreign investors travelled from far and near to partner with her. Through her, Ifite kingdom witnessed super development with modern- day state- of- the- art infrastructures. The king and his chiefs found it rather necessary to show appreciation and repay her, through whom such colossal developments embraced the community. It became a saying within the community and its environ, that God had visited Ifite through Elizabeth the slave girl. When the kKing and his chiefs approached inquired Elizabeth to inquire from her abouton what she would like as a reward for all the good things she had done for made the Ifite community to have and witnessed, s. She asked them to revoke and abolish the Osu (slave) caste system, thereby making everyone equal and free. The Crown Prince of Ifite community, who once had a crush on Elizabeth in their growing- up days, go married to her. When the king of Ifite kingdom passed on, the Prince became the king, and his wife, Elizabeth, became the Queen-t. Thus translating Elizabeth from slavery to royalty and from nothingness to something else.
