Writers blaming producers-
producers blaming media execs-
executive blaming advertisers
& everyone blaming the public
for watching.
Consider that television is, first of all,
a vehicle of "free speech."
which is one of our most cherished rights.
Secondly, it's a business, and exists to
show a profit. It has neither morals nor
conscience- nor has, in itself-
any subversive or sinister motive.
What's more, it can't exist without you.
Your job is to make value judgements and
lay down the rules.
Hey..that's why you're the parent and
they're the kids!
