David Powell is a writer passionate about Christian spirituality, devotion, history, and real-life stories. His works include devotionals, travel guidebooks, biographical and historical books, and a life skills book for teens. A former youth pastor, associate pastor, and missionary, David has dedicated his life to ministry and mentoring. He has lived in seven countries, traveled to over twenty, and speaks English, Spanish, and Italian, bringing a global perspective to his writing. David maintains permanent residence in Colorado but currently lives in the Italian Alps, where he and his wife focus on missionary care, discipleship, and training for church workers. Book sales support their work. David often collaborates with his oldest daughter, Sarah Powell, whose author bio is also worth exploring. His books reflect a life of adventure, faith, and service, inspiring readers to grow spiritually and personally. He is the proud father of three adult children and one son-in-law. Sarah Powell grew up in seven different countries, from Central America, to Europe, to the Middle East. She loves learning about different cultures, and speaking different languages. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is calling that home again now. Sarah is a member of a local artists guild in Colorado Springs where she collaborates not only with other writers, but also painters, musicians, poets, and silversmiths to inspire her creativity and hone her artistry. She spent the last three years working as a teacher's aide and substitute teacher for a local charter school where she fell in love with children's minds and imaginations and learned what makes them come alive and sparks their curiosity. She loves writing about faith, art, and real life. When she is not writing, Sarah loves painting whimsical animals with watercolors, trail running in the woods, laughing, walking barefoot in the grass, or asking people honest questions about real life. She frequently collaborates on writing projects with her dad, David Powell, whose author bio is also worth checking out.
Review :
Prioritizing the legacy of leaders across the Old and New Testament, this devotional spends five days on each given individual. Asking intentional questions about their faith, or lack there of, the author prompts reflection that could turn a five-minute devotional into an all-day meditation.

The Ultimate Devotional for Busy Men is filled with short, powerful devotionals that fit into even the busiest schedules... The messages are really encouraging and it feels like a conversation rather then a lecture. A great way to stay spiritually connected without needing a lot of extra time. Definitely motivating and easy to stick with daily.

The Bible is full of many examples of imperfect men that act as real models toward what it looks like to live as a Christian man today. The parallels found between the lives of men back then and the lives of men now help make the journey as a Christian man in the 2020s both encouraging and hope-inspiring -- even in the midst of life's grinds.

Concise and to the point, but deep enough to challenge you and cause you to ponder the scriptures. The week ending brings it all together and let's you reflect and see how God is working on your life! Great devotional for those with busy schedules. It's like taking small bites of scripture lessons and hiding it in your heart.
