About the Book

#1 Best Seller in Visionary & Metaphysical Fiction - AS SEEN ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA and PEOPLE MAGAZINE "Ally Walker has crafted a fantastical page turner. A thriller that bridges two worlds and begs the question - how will you fight to keep your humanity?" - Christine Lahti Things aren't as they appear to be at Bainbridge Psychiatric Hospital. Decorated war hero and politician Captain Oliver Haskell has voluntarily committed himself following the murder of his wife, scientist Hannah Haskell, in the parking lot of her workplace, Wellglad Pharmaceuticals. His case is assigned to Dr. Ella Kramer, a young psychiatrist just out of her residency with a troubled past of her own. After interviewing the captain, Ella starts to listen to her other patients at Bainbridge, who seem to be operating in another reality altogether. But it is when their reality bleeds into Captain Haskell's that Ella is forced to choose between the two worlds and learns to trust her gut about what really happened to Hannah Haskell that night. Detective Paul Moran who is investigating the murder smells a rat-or, perhaps, in this case, a rabbit-as he attempts to unravel what has taken place and its strange connection to the hospital's patients. The Light Runner, the first installment in the Realities series from debut author Ally Walker, is an edge-of-your-seat metaphysical thriller that will mesmerize and haunt you from the first page to its shocking end.

Review :
"Ally Walker's thriller The Light Runner captivated me from start to finish. The imagery is vivid and other-worldly and the storytelling is done in a way that makes it impossible to put down. The characters are unique and compelling and made the whole ride fun." -Katey Sagal, actress "I've known Ally Walker as a gifted storyteller-as an actor, director, and screenwriter-and this novel's debut still knocked my socks off. The Light Runner is propulsive, thoughtful, incisive-the kind of thriller that stands out in a crowded field. It pinned my attention from the first page and held it deftly through the riveting ending that I truly did not see coming." -Sarah Wayne Callies, actress "Ally Walker has crafted a compelling read. The fascinating prologue immediately hooks you, and the expertly drawn, flawed characters pull you deep into their world. This is a masterful weaving of past and present, where every carefully placed sentence feels like a vital clue in a gripping murder mystery. A powerful and thought-provoking exploration of the prisons we build for ourselves, both within and without." -Tim DeKay, actor "Ally Walker is a writer who brings the same laser understanding of character, human motivations, and storytelling that she displayed as a brilliant actress. She has planted her flag in the crime genre, as her new book The Light Runner will attest! So, grab a drink of your choice and get ready for a novel that feels like cinema! Vivid storytelling, imagery, pacing, and character development, true cinematic storytelling.... A great actress and now a great author! Congrats, 'Sam'!" -Robert Davi, actor, singer, and filmmaker
