"Ya no busques tu casa, / no somos más/ que la herida que habitamos", son los versos de un Ulises al que Juan Carlos Olivas da voz en Los vínculos salvajes, libro de poemas que recuerda al lector atento la meta loable de la poesía: comunicar la relación del ser humano con la naturaleza. A la manera de Leónidas Lamborghini y su Odiseo confinado, o de José Manuel Crespo y su Ulises, hombre solo, esta propuesta del poeta costarricense juega con los elementos del mito, sin pretender ser la carne total del mismo, sino la silueta sutil de su propia interpretación, a partir de temas como el sufrimiento y la tempestad, la traición y la verdad, el tiempo y la muerte. No se trata simplemente de una evocación homérica, sino de una apropiación del mito como arquetipo del errante, del creador, del hombre que lucha contra el caos con los hierros del lenguaje. El poeta se autodefine como alguien cuya esencia es el tránsito, el desplazamiento, la búsqueda sin destino fijo. Este poemario está impregnado de referencias literarias, pero nunca de forma gratuita: cada imagen sostiene un diálogo con la tradición mientras carga con el peso de las pérdidas en las huestes de los años. El ritmo de la obra acompaña esta odisea lírica con una cadencia que alterna momentos de intensidad con otros de reflexión casi epifánica, haciendo del ejercicio de la poesía una meditación sobre la memoria, el deseo, el lenguaje y la identidad. Olivas subvierte los símbolos en una nueva propuesta donde no hay victoria, ni regreso glorioso. Sólo queda el naufragio en las palabras, como forma indiscutible del conocimiento. FRANCISCO TREJO
