The GOLIATH CODE reveals a biblical battle plan for spiritual warfare, concealed in First Samuel 17, which we can use to overcome the giants that come against us.
David's victory over Goliath vividly demonstrates how we can conquer the spiritual giants that come against us. Giants that threaten to keep us from completing the work God created us to do, or to drag us into bondage. The GOLIATH CODE reveals a biblical battle plan we can use to overcome them.
The title is an acrostic designed to help us remember and apply David's strategy.
G: Understand the Geography. The enemy is wedged between a hedge and a fence and can never cross the boundary of the blood. Christians, however, are in Christ, the Ram, the position of strength.
O: Recognize your Opponent. Learn to recognize spiritual giants. Don't waste time or ammunition on the shield bearers.
L: Use the right Labels. Never accept the labels Satan, or the world, tries to stick on you. You are who God says you are.
I: Be Intrepid. Do not fear. Have confidence in God and in His Word
A: Aim to please God. Keep your focus on the Lord and your mission. Ignore distractions.
T: Speak the Truth. Counter the deceivers with the truth of God's Word, and your own testimony.
H: Use the right Hardware. Put on the whole armor of God. Only spiritual armor is effective in spiritual warfare.
C: Confess the Lord. Speak the Word. Call out Jesus' name. If you belong to God, say so.
O: Overcome! If you are in Christ, then you are an overcomer. Learn when to charge, when to stand your ground, and when to retreat
D: Demonstrate your faith. Discourage the enemy, and encourage the army of God, by showing them your faith by your works.
E: Endure to the end. Keep your armor on until you hear the Lord say, "Come up here!" Practice faith, hope, and love, with joy.

About the Author :
Blake Watkins is a licensed Pro¬fessional Engineer and licensed minis¬ter. After earning his Master of Science degree in Engineering, he worked as an electrical engineer and as a supervisor of engineering, information technology, and process control teams for a global Fortune 100 chemical company. He and his wife Jennie also owned and operat¬ed a Christian bookstore called The Lamb's Way. He served as an ordained deacon, a Gideon speaker, and a pulpit-supply preacher. In his spare time, he traveled and taught biblical worldviews and creation science, using a scale model he built of Noah's ark.After twenty-one years in engineering, he answered God's call to full-time ministry, took early retirement, and concentrated on his speaking and teaching ministry. During that time, he created and taught a comprehensive life-application curriculum based on the armor of God in Ephesians 6, for a very effective addiction ministry.After seven years of ministry, he returned to full-time engineer¬ing and relocated to Texarkana, Texas, where he taught adult Bible studies two to three times each week. He now lives in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, working as Principal Electrical Engineer for a major natural gas company. He teaches Sunday School and a live, weekly, online Bible study. Together Blake and Jennie have taught children's Sunday School, led successful young adult and adult Sunday School, and also eve¬ning Bible studies. They were the founding leaders of a 4-H club in their hometown of Batesville, Arkansas. Married since 1978, they are blessed to be parents and grandparents.

This book was given to me by Blake Watkins, at a very critical point of my career and life. During that challenging season, I could not see past the darkness that was surrounding me because I did not understand the authority God provides us in life. There are not enough words of gratitude for the wisdom found in this book. Goliath Code talks about the power of God and how He works through an individual who is full of faith. David understood the terrain of the battlefield he was approaching. He knew with God he would have ultimate victory despite the threats of Goliath. Often in today's society, we are not taught how to understand God's authority, and use God's authority to establish His kingdom. The Goliath Code provides powerful and important lessons that we can use in everyday life. I am profoundly grateful for this book and the friendship and mentoring that I've received through Blake Watkins.

Well, I have found a book that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading several times... I have struggled for decades to find a single source, other than the Bible, to recommend to all new believers as they start their Christian walk - and now I have found it. The Goliath Code is a fresh look at how a believer can see themself win in this battle of life by using the simple Biblical Principles covered in the book. It is organized in such a way that you can just read right through it if you want and devour the wealth of Biblical insights and references
mixed with the author's personal applications. However, the book is much deeper on a closer look because the code the author explains is so practical that every believer needs to study and learn this code in their daily life. Furthermore, there is a question-and-answer section in each chapter that can be used for personal or group Bible Study. So, the book can also be used as a guide by Pastors, teachers or just study groups to master who we are in Christ after they have been through it the first time. There is a particular focus from beginning to end on who we are in Christ and how we can slowly over time re-program our mind with Biblically-based truths. I cannot recommend this book enough for new believers, seasoned believers who want to help disciple others, and Pastors and teachers to implement this code in their churches. It is truly a Biblical Battle Plan.

When my good friend, Blake Watkins, gifted to me his book, "The GOLIATH CODE," I remember being excited to read it simply because I knew the author personally. However, it didn't take long for me to appreciate what the book truly is: a well-researched, thoughtful, and inspirational perspective on the spiritual victory freely offered to us through faith in Jesus Christ.
