People trekked across desert land, rock-ridden roads, and rivers to witness the One whose doctrine rang with authority, who taught and performed miracles. Some throughways were well-worn and wide from frequent use. Others, narrow trails. Each method of travel shared a standard reference as a 'way.' The curious, conscience-stricken, those seeking healing, and opposers were led to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Citizens from Egypt, Syria, Phoenicia, and Greece journeyed via varied means. Some by foot, others perched atop a stubborn animal, or privileged to ride in a carriage. Citizens and foreigners alike trekked a pebbled path (with life's afflictions) toward Jesus.
This writer prays readers will perceive Jesus as their escort to the presence of God, the very essence of the Father, truth, and life, and relish in the Savior's love.
