Review :
1. I am happy to write a review for Robert Carr's new picture book, "I Can and So Can You". This book reminds me of "The Little Engine that Could" by Watty Piper. Watty Piper's words: I think I can, I think I can..., are important to positive child development. Robert Carr's words: I can and so can you, are important as well. In his book, the character Uno meets many challenges similar to a young human child. The challenges vary and are well rounded. They are athletic, poetic, mathematical, generous, skillful, musical, dramatic, visual, educational, rural, self-sustaining, whimsical and fun. The dazzling illustrations make it all believable and achievable. Healthy, hardy and happy! Five stars from me. S.L. 2. "I Can and So Can You" is a wonderful edition to author Robert Carr's Uno Series. The picture book is poetic with an empowering message. It is, if you believe you can, you probably will and if you believe you can't you probably will not. The illustrations are colorful and imaginative. His use of shadows adds drama and depth. D.M. 3. This is a perfect book for children who internally face defeat in their development. It models enthusiasm and gratitude for independent accomplishments. D.G. 4. The poem at the end of the book bluntly wraps up the meaning of the book "I Can and So Can You". S.C. Believe In YouWhen you believe, you will achieve. When you don't, you likely won't.Try again and again, until you can.Believe in your power, Your life will flower.Believe in You. Yes You! 5. Mr. Carr asked me to write a review of this adorable book with a big message. I have to say that I couldn't wait to turn the pages to see the next illustration. They are so much fun and well spun while defining and matching the rhyming text. Bravo! J.W.
