About the Book

When Bay Browning helps direct the Flourish College summer theater production, "Shakespeare's Couch," she doesn't plan for murder at the first practice. Someone wants revenge against the elite cast members, as more terror unfolds on stage and backstage with each rehearsal. What should be a lighthearted parody on The Bard and his characters is cursed from the start, even without someone shouting "Macbeth" in the theater. Detective Downing takes charge of the crime, but Bay and her puzzle-solving cohort, Jen Yoo, follow their own script behind the scenes. Cassandra, Bay's extraordinary sister, makes her own dramatic entrance on the case. After all, Cass is now the personal assistant to one of the elites living the high life on the bluff above Prairie Ridge. How many tragic scenes will be scripted before the villain faces the final curtain?

Review :
"Wicked, clever fun in Shakespeared in the Park! It's like Knives Out meets Agatha Christie. Two sisters-a killer magnet and an ex-con-are determined to unravel the escalating mystery. The tempo keeps readers on the edge of their seats until the end!" - Laurie Buchanan, author of the Sean McPherson Crime Thriller Novels "A fast-paced mystery and nod to Shakespeare, this story would please the Bard himself! Packed with deadly twists, class conflicts, and a climactic Shakespeare-themed costume party, it's an entertaining theater production come to life." - Christine DeSmet, author of the Fudge Shop Mystery Series and Mischief in Moonstone Series "A clever cozy that shines like a buried treasure once uncovered. Shakespearean scholars will revel in a myriad of familiar characters and sheer fun at a frolicsome costume party. The best part? Ribar's thorough depiction of humanity, where even secondary characters come alive to delight and endear." - Saralyn Richard, author of the Detective Parrott Mystery Series and Bad Blood Sisters "A page-turner of a thriller filled with meticulously researched Shakespearean references. Lovers of the Bard and mystery fans alike will be hooked as old prejudices and deadly secrets collide." - Kelly Young, author of the Travel Writer Mystery Series and Haunted and Harassed Paranormal Mystery Series Something wicked this way comes in Shake-speared, book 2 of Joy Ann Ribar's A Bay Browning Mystery series. A university summer theater production is difficult enough, but when a rich family's son is killed during rehearsals, the trouble is only beginning. Ribar effortlessly pulls the reader into academic, theatrical, and family worlds, each withunique behind-the-scenes dangers. Shakespeare, college politics, old family money, and a hunky policeman make this novel an irresistible read. Throw in a little psychic ability, and you have a magical novel!Sharon Lynn, award-winning author of A Cotswold Crimes Mystery series
