About the Book

Crisis, drama, trauma and triumph. This is a collection of trials of high stakes - lives, reputations, careers - and often almost freakish facts. All narrated as experienced from the inside, with detail never before revealed, even for the few that have previously had publicity. The search for the crucial detail, the missing document, managing a deeply traumatised client, exposing liars and cheats including highly qualified and respected experts, wrestling with unfair aspects of the system, confronting the frustration of perverse decisions, all are part of a barrister's role on the Big Dipper ride of highs, lows and fast corners.
