About the Book

Introduce your family to the wonderful world of pantomime! The Panto Song is a visual treat, and a modern twist on a traditional nursery rhyme. You can play and sing along too using the sheet music that is included! Bring the magic of panto into your home all year round!

About the Author :
Mama G has been a pantomime dame for almost twenty years (you wouldn't believe it to look at her!) and has worked with stars from Boyzone, B*Witched, EastEnders and Neighbours, and British entertainment legends such as Paul Daniels, Debbie McGee, and Sir Tommy Steele. As well as writing, directing and producing pantomimes in the UK, she has also taken panto around the world, performing it in Italy, Egypt, Sierra Leone, Canada and the USA (and for two summers: floating on the Channel, for Brittany Ferries!) Since 2023 she has toured her show The Magic Bookmark to venues all over the country, including the Hay Festival. Mama G made her off-Broadway debut with the show in 2024. You can listen to The Magic Bookmark cast recording wherever you stream music. In 2024 Mama G's first picture book was published. Called Oh Yes I Am! It explores the power of panto and how believing in yourself can make the world a brighter place. She has more books coming out soon, so watch this space! Mama G has also contributed to A Year of Pride and Joy, alongside luminaries such as Stephen Fry, Miriam Margolyes and Dr Ranj. She also appears as a character in LD Lapinski's award winning middle grade novel Jamie. Most audiences are familiar with Mama G from series 15 of Britain's Got Talent, when she lead the dame supergroup Dame Nation through to the semi-finals. Other TV appearances include Sky TV's Dating: No Filter alongside comedians such as Joel Dommett and Rob Beckett. Mama G's year-round panto work has taken her all over the UK, visiting theatres, libraries, schools, nurseries, bookshops, care homes, festivals and prides. Mama G performs her own original stories, as well as sharing popular picture books, She also works with a number of the UK's top publishers and authors to spread the joy of reading - which has led to her being very good friends with Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, who regularly appears alongside her. His diverse talents and passions seamlessly intertwine his love for art, animation, and theatre, making him a multifaceted creator whose work has gained recognition on the BBC and international festivals. His background in stop motion animation from Norwich School of Art and Design, combined with his passion for illustration and cartoons, enriches his children's storybooks, which reflect his interests in Punch and Judy and pantomime. Daniel is a seasoned performer from regional theatres to the West End, but playing the pantomime dame is his favourite role, his vibrant theatrical experience complements his storytelling. Daniel is also a Punch and Judy performer who travels nationally, bringing lively slapstick pantomime entertainment with his traditional show, delighting audiences of all ages with classic puppet antics and engaging storytelling. Dedicating his latest book to his daughters, Grace and Elsie, highlights his deep family connection and inspiration behind his creative endeavours, blending his love for performance and illustration into heartfelt works for children.
