About the Book

An Easter Through Time

Jake Anderson has spent years tracing his family through parish records, census returns, and regimental archives.

When a new job brings him to Otley, the Yorkshire town where his ancestors lived for generations, he finds more than he bargained for: a Victorian terrace with a library on the top floor, a name carved on the town war memorial, and a hidden passage behind a bookcase that opens onto 1916.

On the other side stands George Henry Anderson.

Nineteen years old. Stubborn. Brave.
And four months from dying on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

Jake has four days to show George a future worth surviving for, and one desperate chance to change the past. But altering history carries consequences that reach further than either of them can imagine, connecting Jake to a woman he already knows, a family he never expected, and a truth about time, courage, and love that will reshape everything he thought he understood about where he came from and where he belongs.

Set against the hills and stone of Wharfedale, An Easter Through Time is a story about the ties that bind generations, the choices that define us, and the extraordinary things that can happen when someone refuses to leave a name on a stone.

The second book in the Through Time series. This novel can also be read as a standalone story.

About the Author :
S. A. Carmody (Sarah) grew up in Rainhill, Merseyside, before moving to Leeds, UK, where she now lives with her family and a lively pack of dogs. A lifelong storyteller and observer of human nature, she studied Journalism as a mature student to legitimise her extreme nosiness, later running hyper-local news sites before moving into politics, communications, and campaigning. Passionate about both fiction and social commentary, she finally committed to finishing the many manuscripts she had started. Her published works include Why Gen X Had It All: Growing Up in Britain, The Little Book of First-World Problems, Rule Britannia & Beyond: Britain in the 90s, and modernised editions of Orwell’s The Road to Wigan Pier and Hocking’s Her Benny. She is also developing original time-travel fiction that blends history, nostalgia, and sharp human observation. Sarah writes to entertain, provoke thought, and spark conversation.
