The theme is language and it features poems, short stories and illustrations by Black writers and artist from Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, Zanzibar part of Republic of Tanzania, the UK and the USA. The contributors are Tanatsei Gambura, Mohammed Khelef Ghassani, Peter deGraft-Johnson The Repeat Beat Poet, Nardos Mekuria and Meron Berhanu, Oluwagbemiga Ogboro-Cole, Abdullah Adekola, Thembe Mvula, Brendon Alekseii, Sarah Ushurhe, Freddie Mndolo and Meg Arenberg. These talented writers and illustrators have taken a mirror to their world and through their polished and individual style, have reflected their culture with such brilliance The anthology is in English. The languages printed in the anthology are Shona, Kiswahili, Amharic, Nigerian Pidgin English, Arabic and English. This is a declaration to push the boundaries of literature.

About the Author :
Sofia Hafeji, pen name Sofia Amina, is an Indian-British, Lancashire born and bred multidisciplinary artist working with words, illustrations and images. Exploring the dynamics within identity, language and regionalism are crucial within her work. Her instincts lead her, call it from the gut or from the ancestors. As a writer, Sofia is currently exploring her writing through her languages of Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu and English. Her main focus is her micro-publishing company, Press, which is self-funded and will always try to push the boundaries of literature.
